Loving Sur La Table

I just came back from vacation and am now ready to get back to the party!
I have loved Sur La Table for many years. I love the shelves filled to the brim with cooking tools and gadgets and the many tempting ingredients. To be honest I don't let myself go there very often because I spend too much money and I already have a kitchen full of gadgets that I don't use very often. But every now and then I get lured in for a cooking class -- usually with Dina. It is so fun to try out new recipes, dirty someone else’s kitchen, and learn some new techniques. If you have a Sur La Table store near you - check it out.

Sur La Table came to my mind again when we started Bash in a Box and I realized that I don't quite have all the entertainment pieces I need. I am not talking about party supplies but fundamental items like a tea pot or serving trays. Yes, for some reason I have a tinned Charlotte mold but no tea pot -- go figure.
Well lucky for us, Sur La Table has agreed to an affiliate relationship. We can use their images and get a heads up on their sales and include links on our site. We will get a small portion of any sale made through those links. Yeah! So please shop ;) What I really like about this is that we can provide ideas for people who are missing key entertainment pieces which we assume you have when you get your Bash Boxes. Check out some of the ideas on our Resource Page. I have posted ideas for each Bash box and I'll add more as we develop new bashes. Check it out if you have the chance. But I couldn't end the blog without a shout out to the cook free cookbook Sur La Table has now. It is French Bistro Recipes.
To be honest it makes my mouth water but most recipes are a bit too elaborate. Still - I am headed to the market tonight to make the steak with mustard butter sauce, sans fries. Also, if you have tried the French Country Bash and are in the mood for more brunch ideas, Sur La Table has 8 new ideas in this free cookbook.
I hope you are inspired! If you decide to make a Sur La Table purchase, please consider using this link or one of the links on the resource page.
Cheers!
