My Top 3 Drink Recipe Websites

My favorite site right now is DrinkMixers.com. This site has a detailed interface for choosing spirits and finding great drink recipes in addition to the trend cloud shown here.
The site also shows options for drinking games, bar tending definitions, and basic drink making techniques. One fun feature is the random drink choice – for those who just can’t decide – that’s me! Most drink recipes have how-to videos, just in case, and each one shows a photo of the recommended glassware.
There is an option to register. If you register, you can add the contents of your liquor cabinet to quickly find recipes that match what you already have on-hand. You can also save your favorite drink recipes for future reference and provide comments.
If you are straight-up looking for drink ideas they have you covered. There is a filter function that allows you to choose drinks by time of day, strength, glass type, and base spirit (among other options). Once that filter is in place there is a second filter to narrow the results even more. I love that they have non-alcoholic options.
If you are just browsing, they have fun things like a listing of “bars that matter” so that you can find cool bars near you, fun videos showing how to make drinks, and learning more about your favorite spirit, and the list goes on. They have even won a few writing awards.
They also have a register option which allows you to leave comments and save drink recipes by categories you define.
#3 Your Favorite Cooking Site
I have two sites listed here, my apologies if your favorite site isn’t listed. My bet is that like Allrecipes and Food Network you can go to your favorite cooking site and get great drink ideas. The benefit of these sites are that you can register and save your favorites, as well as pare them with food ideas. The one I currently use is Allrecipes.com. They feature cocktails and punches as well as juice, shakes, and smoothies. This site allows you to sign-up with a profile and save favorites as well as chat with other cooks. Allrecipies.com has a nicely built recipe widget that lets you put in the ingredients you have and then gives you choices based on those ingredients. Let me know where you find drink recipes?
Cheers!
